As we enter an exciting new phase of growth, we are looking for a dedicated professional to help us expand our market reach.
The Role
· We are seeking a proactive Inside Sales Associate whose primary responsibility will be to address the needs of Metal Shorts’ customers, interacting through a variety of communication tools, including telephone, email, in-person business, and will also work with vendors to procure materials. They will be responsible for in-store sales, incoming calls, cold calls, marketing, and customer service. This person will learn the front office manager’s job and work as a backup when they are gone. This involves processing daily sales orders, AR, and AP.
· The ideal candidate conducts themselves in a professional, friendly manner, works well in small office environment and is self-motivated.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide excellent customer service and follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
· Learn the company’s inventory systems and internal sales processes to provide accurate pricing and availability.
· Manage walk-in sales and provide expert product guidance to customers.
· Coordinate with the warehouse and operations teams to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
Required Experience
· Associate Degree or 4+ years in customer service, inside sales, or account management.
· Prior experience in the metal, construction, or industrial supply industry preferred
· Strong math skills required, basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, excel and 10-key data entry.
· Experience with DOS based systems or ability to quickly learn new computer systems.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to work in a combined office and warehouse environment
· Ability to assist customers with product samples and navigate the warehouse floor as needed
