Job Description

A reputable construction company in Akron is seeking a skilled and experienced Crane Operator to join our team. As a Crane Operator you will be responsible for operating various types of cranes to lift move and position heavy materials and equipment on construction sites. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience operating cranes and must possess a valid crane operator certification. Responsibilities Operate various types of cranes including mobile tower and overhead cranes Read and interpret blueprints and lift plans to determine the proper placement of materials and equipment Inspect cranes before use to ensure they are in good working condition Safely rig loads onto the crane using appropriate rigging techniques Communicate with ground crew to ensure safe movement of materials Monitor weather conditions that may affect crane operation Maintain accurate records of daily operations and inspections Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience operating cranes on construction sites Valid crane operator certification Knowledge of different types of cranes and their capabilities Ability to read blueprints and lift plans Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with ground crew Physical strength and stamina to operate the controls for extended periods of time Good hand-eye coordination and depth perception We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates regardless of nationality or location.
